It happened in a meeting in the new Healing Rooms of Yakima, Washington.
A group of team members were meeting to receive direction and
instruction in the operation and workings of the new facility. I had
come in late and had situated myself in the back comer in an
inconspicuous area in order to throw little light on myself. As the
meeting progressed I found myself feeling more and more inadequate and
unable to meet the challenge and requirements the leadership was asking.
I was overwhelmed with my present situations and felt I couldn't give or
do what seemed to be expected.
At
that point I closed my eyes and told the Lord I didn't think I was
prepared or could do this. While I was in this mode, a bright glow
appeared above me and a presence flowed about me. I didn't open my eyes,
but stayed very still. A voice was urging me to let go of my earthbound
thoughts and concerns and come up. After struggling with my thoughts for
a minute or two I was able to consciously let go and my spirit seem to
drift up into the bright glowing light.
The
next thing I realized, I was sitting on a park bench with a person whom
I realized to be the Lord Jesus himself. Everything was brilliant in
color and light, and all my worldly concerns were gone. He smiled at me
and began talking to me as we set side by side on the park bench. His
words brought not only a peace but also confidence and sense of being
needed. The beauty of the surroundings seemed to be fed by his words and
presence. Such light and glory filled the whole surrounding area. He got
up, from the bench and motioned to me to walk with him. Not wanting to
be left behind, I hurried to get up and began walking alongside him. We
strolled through the park just talking as friends do when they go
walking together. I don't remember any great revelations other than just
getting to know one another better. He seemed to know me very well, and
his words and expressions filled me with love and confidence.
As we
approached a hill, Jesus started to jog up the hill. Not wanting to be
left behind, I began to jog too. I remember the fear of not being able
to keep up or falling behind as he surged ahead. To my amazement I had
great stamina and strength. It was very easy to keep in stride as I
jogged alongside of the Lord. As we were jogging, I was aware of others
jogging alongside and behind us. I glanced over my shoulder and was
pleased to see that everyone that was in the meeting was easily keeping
pace with us. There was such a comradery and oneness with everyone in
the group. I noticed for the first time that we all had the same glowing
aura about us as the Lord. We were all having a great time jogging up
the hill with the Lord and there was a great excitement and joy
emanating from everyone.
Soon
we reached the top of the hill and Jesus stopped. I looked around and
all in the group were happily milling around chatting with one another.
Then silence fell upon all of us and we all turned toward him as the
Lord spoke. Great love and compassion emanated from his face as he
gestured off to one side of the hill and said, "We have
company".
Upon
turning in the direction he gestured, we all became aware of a gray dark
valley at one side of the hill. In the valley were people moving in our
direction carrying great packs on their backs. Their faces were
weathered and worn by the burdens they were carrying. They labored and
struggled with their loads as they came up the hill in our
direction.
Jesus
again spoke, " Give them something to drink". The group turned
and moved toward the people coming up the hill. As they reached the top
of the hill, the group split up into teams and met the people. The teams
greeted the burdened people and helped them off with their loads. They
set these packs down and made the people sit on them to rest. Then as
each of the team reached out to minister to the person a crystal goblet
appeared in their hand and it was full of clear crystalline water. When
the person took and drank of the water they became refreshed and a
glowing continence came over their face. Forgetting their burden they
became as one of the team members and turned to minister to the
approaching people coming up the hill. At this point the vision ended
and I became aware of the meeting again.
