In January 2000, we invited Cal Pierce and his healing team from the Spokane Healing Rooms to come to Yakima and impart an anointing for healing. At that time, we did not know whether Yakima would receive this ministry. We were overwhelmed as more than 700 people along with many leaders in our city prayed for us as we were commissioned to begin the Healing Rooms ministry in Yakima. There was an offering of more than $3,000 received as seed money to begin this process. 

Following the conference, I was so desperate to see the Healing Rooms birthed by the Lord rather than by human persuasion, I entered into a 40 day fast. Following that fast, the Lord instructed us to send a letter out to our limited mailing list (only about 1/2 the people attending the conference were registered.) I was further told not to announce a meeting place but only to ask those who were impassioned by the Holy Spirit for healing rooms ministry to contact us either by mail or E-mail. We were contacted by more than 50 people. A total of 54 people attended our first five-week healing class. We trained 25 more the following five weeks. Out of those two classes we have more than 35 team members who have completed the full process and several more well on the way. PRAISE GOD. HE IS AWESOME! 

We were given the privilege to take the healing room teams to Harold and Linda Eberle’s Winepress conference at the convention center this summer. Our team prayed for more than 100 people in 4 days. We are still receiving written testimonies of healing from that conference. We have done numerous hospital and home visits. We have had people as far away as Eugene and Seattle come to Yakima to be prayed for by the team.
